Superintendent Search Survey
Dear Community Members:
As you have undoubtedly heard by now, Dr. Benson will be leaving our district at the end of this school year to take the helm of the Cedar Rapids (Iowa) School District. We will miss Dr. Benson and wish him well in his new position.

The Board of Education is currently working on its superintendent search and would like our entire school community’s input regarding what characteristics you would like to see in a new superintendent. We have developed a superintendent search survey and hope that you will respond. The survey will be available until January 31.

    The Board of Education of the School District of the City of Ladue, St. Louis County, Missouri, will meet in special closed session at the Ladue School District Administrative Center, 9703 Conway Road, St. Louis, Missouri, on Monday, January 5, 2009, at 6 p.m., to conduct a closed session pursuant to RSMo 610.021 section 3 (personnel matters).

Community Survey Notice
The Ladue Schools will be conducting a community survey by phone to gain insights into our community later this month. Approximately 400 residents will be called randomly between January 14 and 31. They will be asked a variety of questions for approximately 15 minutes. This type of survey will give the district insight into residents' views now and into the future since a community survey is planned for every other year to track ongoing responses. In order to meet the needs of the community the district serves, the Board and administrators need to know the residents' views on a variety of topics. This type of survey will provide that insight.

Board Candidate Filing Begins December 16
The filing period for the April 7, 2009, general municipal election opens 8 a.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2008, and closes 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Two Board of Education directors will be elected. Each director will serve a term of three years. - learn more -

Ladue Early Childhood Education 2009-10 Registration
The Ladue Early Childhood Center (LECC) is preregistering current students for the 2009-10 school year. Priority enrollment lasts through January 16.

The LECC will begin accepting resident and non-resident registrations on Saturday, January 17 from 9 – 11 a.m.

8 – 9 a.m. for two, three or five mornings.
